Down to the earth,
ground frost

I really, really hate winter, and this one has been particularly brutal. It's several days into the "official" spring season, yet it still looks and feels like winter most days. We're just reaching that point where all the snow piles are dirty (because of the excessive sanding and salting that was needed over the winter, and that is all exposed now that the top layer of snow has melted from the piles), and that's a good sign, but it's not coming fast enough for my liking.
