Literature Text

Filled with a sense
of importance,
with one glance,
the whole room knows
who is in charge.

We all know
that you’re the special,
chosen one –
you believe that you’re
God’s gift to the world and
no matter what might be said else wise,
you continue on your way,
indifferent to how
you treat others.

When will you
come to the realization
that you’re not the be all,
end all and you
don’t rule the world and
you’re not the greatest thing since
sliced bread?
My submission for :iconrawem0tion:'s latest theme: Avarice.

Avarice is also known as pride. I was actually the one who suggested it. Yay. :D

Hi, I liked this! Though there were a few parts I thought were out of place. But I LOVED the ending and the title is eye catching.

CC: This line: "God’s gift to the world and" I would get rid of the and. It just makes the line longer and I find it slightly unecessary. Then the next line could be a period. End of sentence. I just kinda trip up when I read it on that and. But I liked it a lot. :)
